Thank you for visiting Devereux Books.  Since our founding in 1994, we have become recognized as the leading publisher of books about old marine engines, outboard racing, and antique outboard motors.  Today, the first editions of some of our books have become valuable collector’s items, but we have also introduced new titles about antique marine engines and stationary engines.  These books offer comprehensive histories of North America’s great engine companies, from the pioneers who produced the Palmer engine, the Hicks engine, the Lathrop engine, the Sterling engine, the Union engine, and the Atlantic engine to those who developed  the workhorse diesel: Cummins, Winton, Atlas-Imperial, and General Motors.
